Southern Loggin’ Times magazine Associate Editor Jessica Johnson visits Sojourner Timber in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Wayne Sojourner is the epitome of a family man. The father of three and grandfather of seven has a friendly, approachable demeanor—he’s the kind of guy you just trust the second you meet him. He chalks up his positive attitude and kindness to being extremely blessed by the Lord. The logger says his strong relationship with Jesus Christ is what motivates him to do business a little differently. Guided by a strong moral compass, Sojourner endeavors to operate his crew with the utmost kindness and respect. He looks at his employees as blessings to him, as each know how to do their job nearly perfectly and help support the overall function of the logging crew without causing too many headaches.
