Southern Loggin’ Times Associate Editor David Abbott travels to Clarkrange, Tennessee to spend some time with Bill Clark Logging. Bill Clark and his son Bill, Jr. are no strangers to the ups and downs of the logging business. Right now, things are going pretty well, but working in the woods is still no walk in the park. On the day Southern Loggin’ Times made the trek to their job site back in December, the two co-owners of Bill Clark Logging were busily working to finish a tract before wet weather set in. Clark currently enjoys a backlog of tracts bought in advance to keep him busy for the foreseeable future. He has to prioritize which ones need to go first—like the farm clear-cut in December—and which ones can stand to wait.
